Continued from here.

Cool air rushed over Wesley's form and made him shiver. He blinked sleepy eyes back open and searched the darkened room for Giles as he pulled the covers back up. "Love? Come back to bed." Wesley called softly.

Wesley sighed. "I'm sorry, Rupert. I know I keep whinging over the same things. Things neither of us can do anything about."

"It's all right. I know it's hard for you. And for Angel."

They were quiet for a time and Giles continued his gentle stroking.

"Wes, if you'd like to go back to sleep, please feel free. There's no need for you to stay up just because I can't shut off my mind."

"Why don't we talk about whatever's on your mind, love? If it's bothering you this much it must be important." Wesley didn't feel right leaving Giles to stay awake worrying on his own.

"I'm sorry, Rupert." Wesley drew soothing circles over Giles' chest as he spoke. "I wish there was something I could say or do to ease your mind."

"You could tell me why you failed to tell Angel and the others about us." The words were out before Giles had fully realized he was going to say them.

Caught completely off-gaurd Wesley sputtered. "W-what?"

"Earlier," Giles elaborated. "You had ample opportunity to inform your friends of our relationship. You didn't."

"I... I just wasn't sure it was the right time to tell them. What with it having been Angel's first glimpse of his son in almost a month. And you were nowhere to be found. I... I thought you would want to tell them together." Wesley tried to explain his hesitancy.
